How to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Your Eyes?

Do you want to completely eradicate those annoyingly nasty looking dark circles that are under your eyes? If yes, then read on...

No other facial flaw is more visible to everyone else who is looking at your face, than dark circles are. The appearance of dark circles is a sure sign of someone who is unhealthy, whether by stress or by poor living habits. The culprit is generally a combination of things like sun damage, heredity, allergies, aging, and of course - lack of sleep!

But even if you get enough sleep and you are stress free, there is possibility that you may develop dark circles with age. This is the outcome of the layer of fat underneath your eyes that actually thickens with time and gives the illusion of dark circles, when you are in certain lighting.

In addition to that extra fat layer that contributes to dark circles, years of sun damage causes microscopic blood vessels to loose their stability below your eyes, therefore adding to the problem.

Treatment

You can use a concealer for a quick fix: Using yellow will neutralize the blues, purples, and husky hues on the skin. This does not remove the problem, but can build your confidence for the day, by alleviating the 'tired look'.
You can use tea bags and cucumbers: Yes there is definitely something to those commercials where women have cucumbers and tea bags on top of their eyes. Both tea bags and cucumbers reduce inflammation and decrease swelling. Tea bags are especially good to use for dark swollen circles because there is tannin inside of the tea that helps with eliminating the puffiness.
You should use more anti-oxidants: Antioxidant treatments help to reduce fluid buildup under the eyes, which decreases the dark circles. Therefore, you should go for treatments that involve a lot of vitamin C and GHK copper peptides. Also, vitamin K is great for restoring stability and strength to the blood vessels under the eyes, which reduces their proliferation.

I am 21 years old and have really bad under eye circles. I use concealer and an eye cream to hide it but lately, all make-up products i use, have given me an allergic reaction only under my eyes. I dont know what to do. My under eye skin dries out real bad and gives me red bumps. u can get a q-tip wet and freeze it for a few minutes. take it out of the freezer and wipe it where the dark circles are. it helps if you close your eyes when you do this.

for all of those girls out there who have really bad dark circles or bags or even puffiness under your eyes, stop worrying because there is hope, and its frozen cucumber circles, now these will help with your puffiness but it didnt really help with my dark circles, another magic that can help ur dark circles is eye bright they're tea bags i looked for these at safe way but couldnt find them but i garantee that they will work for your under eye dark circles.

i absolutly feel for every single person who 'suffers' from dark circles - i spend enough time feeling sorry for my self for mine! im 15 and i seriously dont know ANYONE who has worst bags than mine. ive tried everything, from the tea bags, to the prep H cream! i get atleast 8 hours sleep, but it makes no difference whether i go to bed at 8 or 11. still no luck. aahh well; i supose theres always surgery when im older.... :( anyone got any better idea? please? xx

The two biggest things that cause eyes bags I would say are not drinking enough water and juices, and sleep depervation. usualy when you hear about bags under the eyes its from someone who tends to be busy during the day. No matter how busy you are I suggest finding time before bed to do something that relaxes you so you can sleep better. Ah! reduces stress too! I also recomend keeping a water bottle with you whenever possible. If you are a student, and you have a teacher that doenst allow drinks in class, no biggie! Theres always the option of water fountains, or even keeping a water bottle in your locker to use between classes. Theres realy no excuse to allow yourself to dehydrate.

AHHHHHHH my whole family has dark circles and i have got them. i use about 6 coats of this expensive concealer and then about 3 coats of powder. ive tried drinking loads of water and it deffinatley isnt lack of sleep. PLEASE HELP ME. im 15 and it is the biggest annoyance to me at the moment!!
