Aztec TattooAztecs lived on the territory of Mexico during the 14th and the 15th century. It was a mysterious civilization with a stunning mythology which highly influenced the art of contemporary tattoos. Aztecs used to perform religious rituals, arts flourished in their world and they had their own system of education. Their tribal art has spread in many cultures as they were impressing by their tendency to consider various shapes and designs sacred. Art was essential for them. Children were taught in schools the art of pottery and of modeling precious stones and metals. The calendar belonging to this civilization is a frequent modern tattoo design. Moreover, Aztecs had a lot of gods to which they used to dedicate different things in specific rituals. For example, there was a god called Uitzilopochtle, to whom they used to dedicate tattoos. The favorite tattoo places, for this god were the stomach, chest or wrist, and a special feature was that they made these tattoos to their children in order to prove the god how their kids were attached to him. There were special tattoo patterns according to that god’s specific features. To continue with, there is something extremely fascinating in the Aztec culture: the cult of the sun. There isn’t human being on this earth who is not happy when he or she is seeing sunshine. Aztecs as well considered that the sun was source of life. The sun was at the basis of their calendar, where one could find a lot of solar images. Unlike other types of tattoos, like floral or love tattoos for example, Aztec tattoos are considered cultural ones and they are an expression of what you appreciate at that civilization and of what attract you more to it. Actually it is very interesting when you want to know better somebody to ask him or her what period in the past he or she would have liked to live in. A lot of them will mention medieval times, others ancient times, some of them imagine they lived in Egypt, others in China or India, and others dream they were Aztecs. For Aztec tattoos amateurs and for other tattoos ideas as well, there are a lot of free galleries online or tattoo shops where you can get inspiration from. Aztec tattoos can be rare and complicated so you have to be very careful when you choose the tattoo artist. This one has to be a real artist who must be more than willing to try his skills on your skin. But you must be sure that he has these skills. Otherwise, not only won’t you have your wonderful Aztec tattoo you wanted so much, but you might develop a skin infection if it is not made carefully or you might not like it and then you want to remove it, which means a lot of pain and money, because permanent tattoos can be removed efficiently only through laser, which is a quite expensive method. For Aztec tattoos we can recommend temporary designs if you don’t have any feed back from the tattoo artist you have chosen. Aztec Tattoo Pictures
