Bridal Henna Tattoos

Nowadays a bride wears a glamorous dress and shiny jewels and she has a wonderful, vaporous veil and her hair must be just glittering and attractive for any guest on her wedding day. Her body can be glittery as well, but that’s all. We can’t say that contemporary brides have their body tattooed. But there were times and there still are countries and areas in the world in which brides have their body decorated using a substance called henna. Those body patterns can have nationality significances and they are usually quite complicated. There is no rule concerning the area of the body where bridal henna tattoos are applied, but in general they were borne on the bride’s hands or feet. As far as foot tattoos are concerned, they had to be very careful with local hygiene because feet are part of the body which can get dirty very rapidly and they can get infected rapidly as well if the tattoo artist is nor very careful with his work or if he does not provide suitable care recommendations after having the tattoo done. In general henna permanent bridal tattoos were associated with celebrations. Nowadays it can be associated with celebrations as well, but there are not necessarily applied permanent tattoos, but temporary ones, because they could not be useful anymore once the celebration is over. Sometimes henna bridal tattoos are done on the bride’s wrist instead of a bracelet.

A henna bridal tattoo can have deep meanings for a woman on her wedding day. For example she can have a tattoo which expresses her eternal love for her future husband. She can choose in this case any floral tattoo, because most of the times flowers are associated with love. Or she can choose a henna bridal tattoo representing the flower of love in any country and culture in the world: the red rose, only that part representing its silk like soft and dainty petals, as a symbol of the beauty of this feeling.

Another love symbol suitable for a bride could be a little heart, as an expression of passion and a love promise forever.

We have just said that these tattoos should be temporary nowadays, because unfortunately nowadays feelings can be temporary as well, and what is perceived today as love, tomorrow can become hatred or despise.

Even if brides from all over the world can be fascinated by having a tattoo on their wedding day, Arabian symbols are very attractive, because they are exotic and they can have deep meanings like sacred and eternal union between husband and wife, as one of the features of the Arabian world which must be appreciated is their faithfulness in a relationship.

We have talked about henna bridal tattoos applied on hands or feet, but they can be borne as well at the level of the ankle, or neck or navel. Of course to such tattoos you have to match an adequate dress, for example if you have a navel tattoo, your dress has to be cut in that area and it will look daring and devastatingly sexy.
