Tiger Tattoo – Donning what’s inside

Perhaps two simple words can define why animal figures are given so much of prominence in any sort of emblem – it’s animal magnetism. A look at the age-old rituals and different cultural facets also reveals the same; from the Mesoamericans to the Russian czars, almost everybody used some animal or the other to exhibit their respective powers. But all that is history; what remains is the mindset induced deep into the genes by our forefathers. And that defines why tiger tattoos remain an obsession with the mankind.

Alternatively, it can also be put in the manner that a tattoo was treated as an identity card in the days of yore; women of Borneo have been noticed to use tattooed symbols to indicate a particular skill. For example, a skilled weaver would wear a tattooed symbol of bones sharpened in the style of needles; it used to serve another purpose as well – it announced her as a woman fit for marriage. Witch doctors had (and still have) paranormal symbols etched all over; tattoos have also stood and still stand as significant symbols of oneness and particular qualities. Following the same thought pattern, tiger tattoos must advertise the one who is a tiger within or the person’s sodality. All right, let’s not get that deep; implementing one’s own individuality is a tattoo’s design all about – at least, in most of the cases.

But subcategories are very strong phenomenon; which one is going to suit a person most? For that, we need to learn a bit on the styles and the colors; the rest we leave onto you for only a person can understand his/her ego better.

If all the above discussions made you think that the tattoo we are talking about is going to be something as plain as daylight, think twice; tattoos are all about imagination and certain tribal and Celtic designs are enough to sweep one off their feet. The same applies to tiger tattoos that come combined with other designs. Ranging from hearts, skulls, fairies, stellar bodies to everything that one may think about, there have also been crossovers that have merged old school tiger tattoos with new ones. A riot of colors is what followed since then; if you are not a purist, you shall admire the vibrant shades anything between the fluorescent hues and different shades of gray.

Now, you’ve decided what design to go for; did you decide where to tattoo it down? The best tiger tattoos have been found adorning the arms as armbands; on the lower and the upper backs; on the ankles; over the shoulders and of course, on the chest.

But before we end – there are certain tiger tattoo designs that are related to traditions, folklores and mythologies. We may cite the Oriental style in orange or the Gothic saber-toothed tiger; it’s just that certain styles have become like maxims and have a long history behind – the crossovers are all right; just take care that it doesn’t result in conflicts.
