Stretch Mark Causes

Stretch marks are the matter of great concern so fat external beauty is concerned. Though precise causes of the stretch marks are yet being studied, there may be certain factors that may lead to develop stretch marks like hormonal activities. Stretch marks are truly the most common skin conditions and are supposed to embarrass most of the people having them. They usually go crazy to get rid of them.

It has been found that stretch marks related hormonal activities usually take place generally during:

Post pregnancy in women.

Natural development for teenager boys and girls.

Quicker body weight gain or weight loss.

In case of passing through the depression phase or experiencing extreme sorrow, unhappy or more stressed person is more prone to get stretch marks.

Deficiency of some essential nutrients for an extended period of time, and/or

Abrupt change in one’s physical or atmospheric conditions.

Undergoing regimen for some typical medications such as steroidal therapy can also cause stretch marks in some typical cases. The condition perhaps sends and processes the wrong information concerned to the development of the skin which in turn leads to generate inadequate quantum of collagen and elastin that are responsible of forming the connective tissues of the skin. When such connective tissues break apart they cause the stretch marks on the skin. Initiating from the deeper skin tissues they gradually reach the outer surface of the skin. In some exceptional cases they may even emerge overnight through typical process.

Irrespective of the gender, age or body stature of the person, the stretch marks can happen to just anybody. In general the stretch marks don’t hurt or irritate any body so often they remain unnoticed or least bothered. Initially the stretch marks appear pinkish red in color or just pale due to the micro blood vessels breaking up and bleeding which turns to pale silvery white in due course of time. In some typical cases if they expand they can precisely cover the entire body including the face area.

As we all widely believe or know that stretch marks are usually incurable and truly it is really difficult to get rid of them easily. There are people who have been applying prescribed lotions and creams since over a decade and are yet expecting the positive results. Instead of diminishing their stretch marks are reported to be spreading. Now this is of course the most embarrassing condition for them. The medical sciences have bagged lots of successes in various fields but unfortunately no remarkable discoveries have yet been done in this regards. On the contrary the doctors have been found simply telling the sufferers to practice living with their stretch marks as they are rather incurable.

Perhaps because stretch marks are not causing any health harm except the irritating appearance, they remain ignored and least bothered. Most of the people living with ugly stretch marks on their bodies state that unless anyone experiences it, he or she cannot perhaps realize the mental conditions of the sufferers.

Stretch marks generally damage the self-esteem of the persons making them feel unclean or imperfect.
